In 2010 Wellington Waterfront Ltd (WWL) installed 11 Bully Boys to better manage issues they had with unrestricted vehicle access and unauthorised parking in an area with very high pedestrian traffic.
In 2011 they reviewed the performance of the project and decided that they were so successful that extending the installation was the best road forward.
Bully Boy have now installed six more automatic bollards on Taranaki Street Wharf.

Security Bollards to support a Revolutionary Car Stacking System |
IronBank is a 4500m sq. commercial building with a combination of office & retail space with 96 car parks.
The car park is highly unique and a New Zealand first. After driving into a “virtual garage” your car is placed buy a robotic system into one of 96 parking bays.
The result of the parking system is a huge space saving in the building.
However beyond the “edge” of each of the three virtual garages is a three story drop into the pit in which the cars are placed.
IronBank required a safety barrier in front of the vehicle as it was driven into the virtual garage.
